Your business
Escape Room Waiver
Review the agreement, add your details, and sign.
Player full name and date of birth
I will follow the game master's instructions and marked prop restrictions.
Signature
- 01
Player and game details
Ask for the player's name, booking name, room title, and session date. Keep the purchaser's contact details distinct from the identity of each participant.
- 02
Experience and sensory effects
Describe the actual room: low lighting, sound effects, confined spaces, crawling, or moving scenery where present. Give useful participation information without publishing puzzle solutions.
- 03
Movement and prop risks
Explain foreseeable trips, collisions, and contact with scenery. State which objects guests may handle and how staff identify props that must stay in place.
- 04
Leaving the game and requesting help
Insert the room's real exit procedure, stop signal, and method for contacting the game master. Explain whether a player can step out and rejoin.
- 05
Youth participation and accommodations
Record guardian details where required and explain adult-supervision rules. Provide a contact route for accessibility or sensory questions before assigning the room.
- 06
Participation agreement and signature
Place reviewed release language beside the signature and date. Treat promotional photos or marketing messages as separate choices rather than part of puzzle participation.
Put it into practice
Make arrival easier for your team.
- 01
Include the room name in the waiver message so groups choose the correct experience
- 02
Place a walk-in QR code in the lobby before the briefing area
- 03
Recheck the player list when a booking adds someone at the last minute
Before publishing
Make it specific to your operation.
- 01
List effects and physical requirements separately for each room
- 02
Describe exit access without implying players are physically trapped
- 03
Set the actual minimum age and accompanying-adult policy
- 04
Decide how late arrivals complete signing before joining
- 05
Have counsel and your insurer review the finished agreement
Questions to settle
Review before you publish.
Can the booking organizer sign for the entire team?
Do not assume that paying for a booking gives someone authority to consent for other adults or children. Collect each player's agreement and use your approved guardian process for minors.
Should a horror room use different wording?
Describe its specific effects, actor interaction, darkness, and movement requirements. A separate version is useful when those conditions differ materially from your puzzle-only rooms.
How can we explain risks without spoiling the game?
Name the type of experience rather than the solution: low lighting, sudden sounds, narrow passages, or optional crawling. Staff can answer individual participation questions privately before the briefing.
