Questions to settle
Review before you publish.
Does a surf lesson waiver also cover board rental afterward?
Only if the reviewed scope explicitly includes independent use and its terms. Unsupervised rental changes the responsibilities, permitted area, and equipment return process, so it often needs a separate agreement.
Can a swimming-ability answer replace an instructor assessment?
No. Use the answer to guide a conversation and apply your program's participation procedures. A student describing themselves as a strong swimmer does not establish readiness for the day's surf.
What if the lesson moves to another beach?
Explain the new location and conditions before the session. Follow your policy for materially changed activities and consent, and keep cancellation or transport terms consistent with the booking information.
